love your work, by the way. i really want to see more of your comics!
Thanks for the encouragement, I really appreciate it - this comic drawing lark isn't easy, that's for sure!
i'm trying. right now i'm trying to practice and hopefully do enough short stories to compile an anthology. but for now the only thing i have available is a graphic novel from four years ago called "mind fields" which is available in trade paperback form comixpress.com
but yes, please upload more of your work. i sense that perhaps you're a daniel clowes fan? who are your biggest influences?
I do like Clowes. I like all kinds of stuff really but bizarre, surreal, and grotesque comics especially appeal to me. My favourite comic when I was a kid was Misty, a horror comic for girls. Now I'm all growed up I lean towards underground stuff - Kim Deitch, Drew Friedman, Basil Wolverton - and I have a thing for 50s/60s romance comics. At the moment I'm digging the record cover designer Alex Steinweiss and poster artist Abram Games. What about you? What do you like?
robert crumb was a huge influence on me. as well as dave sim, jeff smith, peter bagge and charles burns.
lately i've been enjoying the work of mcbess as well as a guy here on deviantart named tim molloy
thanks for turning me onto those names. i can see their influence on you. i am already very familiar with abram games and adore his work.
Ooh, I'd never heard of McBess so just googled him - wowzers, that's great stuff! Thanks for that. And I really enjoyed Tim Molloy's page too.
Keep up the fab work, looking forward to seeing more.
